A company that has a real and substantive connection with Ireland can register a domain name to reflect their corporate name. A company can register multiple different domain names in this category, provided that each one reflects the company's corporate name (optionally translated from English to Irish, or vice versa). An abbreviation of the corporate name may be used instead of the full corporate name. Only a company can have a corporate name and therefore only a company can register a domain name in this category

If the company has been registered for longer than 2 months, the company registration number must be included in the domain name application form. If the company has been registered within the last 2 months, the applicant must supply a copy of the company's certificate of incorporation.

If the company is incorporated outside of Ireland a copy of the company's certificate of incorporation and a copy of the certificate of registration of a "place of business" issued pursuant to part XI of the Companies Act 1963 or the Certificate of Registration of a "branch" issued pursuant to the European Communities (Branch Disclosures) Regulations, 1993 (as appropriate) must be supplied.

A company that demonstrates substantial trade or commercial activity within Ireland shall be deemed to have a real and substantive connection with Ireland.

Examples of acceptable documentation would be copies of invoices showing trade to or from Ireland, high quality brochures, A signed letter on headed paper from an Irish bank manager, firm of chartered accountant(s), registered auditor(s), tax consultant(s), where the tax advisor identification number is displayed on the letterhead, or solicitor(s) confirming that the applicant (the company) is trading with Ireland.
